Great dynamic posters with recommended Reiki hand positions – for self-healing or healing others – from Pinterest, Flickr or our image pool. Instead of creating yet another batch of photos or graphics with these well-known healing hands positions, we rather reviewed and presented with details the most beautiful creations on the net.

7. Self-Healing Hand Positions from Flickr

Jane Gregory was in a hit and run accident in 2006. It left her unable to walk far, drive and do most things. But she didn’t give up.

She published on Flickr several posters with photos of hers and her husband, for both self-healing and healing others hand positions in Reiki. Here are her photos for healing yourself:

Reiki Self Healing Hand Positions

8. Nice Poster Found by Yahoo Image Search

These interesting photos have been discovered by the search engine of Yahoo! Images.

I’d love to see the day when photos like these – for standard Reiki positions – are clearly made available for anyone for free to share. At the present moment, almost each Reiki manual replicates again and again the same hand positions, with different illustrations. Only a few of them look really great, but most of them not.

12. Nice Photo Poster from Reiki Store

This is a high resolution infographic, that you can download as a picture for your needs.

Some of these infographics are shared on purpose by their authors – on Pinterest or as images embedded into a PDF downloadable file – and all they ask in return is to keep it intact, with their credits inside. It’s still important to check if there are no other licensing or copyright issues, but – when nothing is specified – it’s usually safe to reuse it this way.

13. Healing Hands in Italian

A lot of self-explanatory hand positions here…

Peggy L. Jentoft created a free Reiki Level One Manual, exposed both online and as a PDF. This collection of photos is part of the manual, and shows the detailed Reiki hand placements, starting from a position standing behind your client’s head.

15. Free PDF with Reiki Hand Positions

This used to lead to a page from which you were able to download a PDF for free, with these images inside.

17. Other Two Italian Posters

Joao Magalhaes is the author of two nice posters with Reiki hand positions for a client, one from the front and the other from the back.

18. Rapid Reiki Treatment

When you don’t have time enough for a full 60-90 minutes Reiki session with your client, try this alternative quick technique.

The rapid treatment focuses on all major chakra points, with the client sitting upright in a chair. It may take between 15-30 minutes to complete.

Description of each position:

  1. Hands on your client’s shoulders, from behind, and make your personal invocation.
  2. Healing hands on the top of your client’s head, covering the crown chakra.
  3. On the side of the client, one hand on the forehead, the other over occipital ridge.
  4. One hand over the throat chakra, the other parallel with the back of the neck.
  5. One hand over the heart chakra, the other parallel with the client’s shoulder blades.
  6. One hand on the solar plexus, the other parallel on the client’s spine.
  7. One hand on the base of the stomach, the other parallel with the base of the spine.
  8. Move in front of your client, and place one hand on each knee.
  9. Kneel down in front, one hand over each of your client’s feet, with thumbs open.

19. Condensed Hand Positions Representation

Here is a different original representation. Rather then using separate therapist-client photos for each sequence, it combines several positions, showing multiple pairs of hands on client’s body.

Positions 4 to 9 start with the hands of the Reiki practitioner at the client’s neck, going down and ending up with his hands on client’s knees.

20. Complex Infographic with Healing Hands

This infographic shows How to Treat Others on top, and How to Treat Self at the bottom. Each half has separate sections for Head, Front and Back. The lower half shows also positions for Legs and Feet.

The poster is practical if you want to show as much information on one single page. Not only you get Reiki hand positions for both yourself and others, but each position is thoroughly described.

21. Original Hand Positions of Mikao Usui

As a bonus, here is a glimpse at the original hand positions of Mikao Usui, as illustrated by Frank Arjava Petter in his 1999 book The Original Reiki Handbook of Dr. Mikao Usui. Some of them are original indeed, found nowhere else…

Original Hand Positions

The 80 photo collection was made unreadable here for obvious copyright reasons.

You want the actual pictures? Buy the book! As I did…

Did You KnowFrank received the original manuscript, in old Japanese language, and her mother-in-law Chetna helped translate it into modern Japanese language. After that, Frank and his Japanese wife Kumiko translated it into English. It looks like in most of these pictures it is just Frank with his wife.

22. Reiki Hand Positions for Cats

This infographic shows a few hand positions, for your healing hands, when using Reiki for cats.

This video shows how to give Reiki to horses:

Chris

I’m a Reiki Practitioner, soon to be a Reiki Master. I’m a pre-diabetic and I have hypothyroid problems. Standard western medicine has not been able to date to find a proper answer to my problems. So I turned my head to alternative methods and I found joy and relief by doing so.
